It makes me feel LUCKY that I had parents who got me out there--and it makes me feel like it's even more important for us to get our kids out there now. It is great to hear from you, and I really appreciate your support. All the best, old friend!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11051464435424906478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7414990618766971753.post-43623318908767842972013-02-15T08:38:45.085-08:002013-02-15T08:38:45.085-08:00Thank you all for your comments and encouragement....Thank you all for your comments and encouragement. I have a buddy who has taught biology for non majors at San Jose State for 40 years. He polls his class every semester by show of hands to see how many students have ever spent the night outside. The number declined steadily until ultimately not one student in a class of 200 college freshman had ever spent a night outdoors. Love the blog and its important message. It was a great experience, totally raw, and beautiful. The daily summer afternoon thunderstorms in the Rockies are embedding deep within me. Your blog reminds me that I need to have more of that in my life. Thanks Jas. Your kids are lucky.
